Your Body’s Home is Perfect Health
“Home is a place we all must find, child. It’s not just a place where you eat or sleep. Home is knowing. Knowing your mind, knowing your heart, knowing your courage. If we know ourselves we’re always home.” – Glinda the Good Witch, Wizard of Oz
17 months ago I found myself in the Emergency Room on a long road to recovery from chronic illness. I suffered from neurological dysfunction, debilitating fatigue, and immunity, adrenal and hormonal failure. I was a long way from home. Today I am completely healed, ready to share my wisdom with hopes of helping others find their own path back home to health and wholeness.
What I learned during this difficult journey is that our natural state of being is perfect health and wellness. I know that it may be difficult to believe that while you are in the midst of suffering, but I believe healing is possible for everyone.
I finally found my courage and roadmap inside which is the key to healing. This brought me back home to my true self, and I now experience a greater level of joy and health than before my symptoms began.
I believe that our bodies are designed for perfect health and functioning, but we have to rid our systems of the dis-ease that has slowed them down. Negative emotions like unforgiveness, resentment, bitterness, and discontent are essentially poison to our bodies. When they remain unreleased and stored as trauma, it damages your health.
The good news is that there is a way back home to your divine given nature of health, happiness and wellbeing. Like Dorothy searching for the Great Oz on the Yellow Brick Road to get back home, you have been given a Glinda, an internal guide, to help guide you back to Kansas.
When you are sick however, you become disillusioned like Dorothy. You are suddenly thrown into a turbulent tornado, and everything feels unfamiliar and foreign. You don’t know where you are or how you got here. You just want to get back home.
When the journey begins, you don’t realize the wisdom to get back home is within. However, that divine insight wants you to realize it’s as simple as clicking your heels three times and saying, “There’s No Place Like Home.”
Like Dorothy though, you have to follow the journey down the Yellow Brick Road before you are ready to return home…
The journey of illness is to discover deep down what caused you to want to leave home and heal whatever appears to be missing from home. Something inside of you felt like you were missing something that only sickness could bring. Sickness is an illusion that has taken you away from your natural way of being and wants you to believe there is no way back.
The illusion sickness wants you to believe that it has the power to rule your life forever. Chronic illness wants you to believe that you are stuck exactly where you are without any way of returning back home. It is tempting to believe that lie, but thankfully you have your spiritual guides to remind you of the truth.
Like any spiritual journey, you are never alone. The good guides like Glinda send us helpers and friends along the way. You are never meant to seek enlightenment alone.
At this stage, you are being introduced into books and teachers that will help midwife you through the challenges of being sick. Different diets and therapies will prove to be beneficial. These are signposts and markers along the way that you are on the right path.
You may become frustrated with your failed attempts to get back home, but that is because you are not yet ready. You have assigned lessons along this journey in the wilderness that must be fulfilled.
You will also meet obstacles and distractions to test your strength, willpower and courage. They are there to help grow you and see what mindsets you need to change. You might be surprised at the discoveries you make along the way.
All of the victim stories and external factors that got you here are no longer important. They will eventually loser their power. You watch them melt away as you throw the divine waters of healing on their lies. You are getting closer to home.
When you have finally reached the capital of Oz, you will suddenly feel exasperated and hopeless like Dorothy, when it becomes apparent you are unable to get home by an external magic wizard. While the hope of every doctor, remedy, supplement and treatment was necessary on the journey, it will not get you home.
Despondent, you sit watching the hot air balloon of home float away. This is your awakening. You are ready for the truth, now that the hope of any external remedy is gone.
You will call on your internal intuition that has always known the simple way back home. To your dismay, she says you don’t need help any longer and says, “You’ve always had the power to go back to Kansas.” Incredulous you ask, “Why didn’t you tell me?” And Glinda will say, “Because you would not have believed me. You had to learn it for yourself.”
You realize now everything you need to get home is within you. The internal power to heal and go back home has always been yours. Nothing outside of you was ever needed to get back home. The inherent power of the ruby slippers is realized.
Every false illusion and limiting belief that ever held you back falls away as you remember the truth of who you are. The divine light is activated and ready to carry you back to Kansas where you belong. It all makes sense and seems so simple.
As you click your heels together, you find yourself coming home where the illusion of sickness has passed. The bad dream is over and you can finally say, “There is no place like home.”
You wake up in Kansas and realize you never want to leave again because your heart’s desire has always been here. This is your home and destiny where happiness, love and health abound. You are thankful for what the journey of sickness taught you, and you are eternally grateful to be back home.
